The following are services that we offer to the community:

  • General explanation on what the deportation process is and the next steps.
  • Reliable attorney referrals.
  • Accompaniment/transportation to immigration court.
  • Free legal clinic (initial consultation).
  • Monthly support group for those facing deportation.
  • Monthly vigils where the community can pray together for those in deportation.
  • Reference letters for members.
  • Leadership development trainings focused on community organizing.
  • Online actions.
  • Know Your Rights trainings.

We encourage people to become members of Voces de la Frontera (which is $30/year) to access these services in addition to a nominal fee for accompaniment to Chicago.  However, nobody will be turned away due to inability to pay.  The most important reason that we provide these services is to give community members directly affected by the broken immigration system the opportunity to speak out on these injustices and become part of the movement to change these draconian laws.
